“I love flowers, always and always, roses are my favourite. Definitely the best way to a woman’s heart”Caroline Scheufele, Creative Director and Co-President of Chopard

Being a big-hearted woman who adores nature is a true reflection of Caroline Scheufele’s passions and her essence. With these feelings at the forefront of her mind, she dreamt of developing a fragrance which perfectly captured this sentiment. Working with the finest perfume developers, Rose de Caroline was born.

Chopard’s vision for environmental and social sustainability extends through all of their products and processes. Caroline Scheufele is proud to introduce a one-of-a-kind fragrance which encapsulates pure beauty and which is inspired by the classic bloom of a rose.

The beauty of the rose

“Beauty is an ecstasy; it is as simple as hunger. There is really nothing to be said about it. It is like the perfume of a rose: you can smell it and that is all.”

W. Somerset Maugham

The use of roses in scent is a tradition stemming back to ancient times. The ancient Greeks, Romans and Phoenicians all valued this flower immensely farming the bloom with the same respect and reverence as they farmed fruits and grains.

Rose perfumes are routinely created by using the oil by-product won by the crushing of petals. Learning of the history of rose oil dating back to Sassanid Persia in 200-600AD, Caroline was keen to keep many of the traditional features of this precious elixir alive.

Chopard celebrates the simple joys in life through all of its products – happiness, love, and light. This is no different in the conception of Rose de Caroline for, in this perfume, a true artistic creation glows with the soul of its natural ingredients.

Rose de Caroline

Derived from the Bulgarian Rose, more precious and rare than gold itself, Rose de Caroline is an outstanding creation from Master Perfumer Alberto Morillas.

A unique collaboration between friends from different worlds, Caroline and Alberto worked tirelessly to bottle the allure and delicacy of this rare bloom. The unique selection of natural ingredients are all ethically sourced, an ode to Chopard’s commitment to sustainable luxury.

The main accords of this exquisite scent are naturally, rose, with a subtle undertone of powdery blooms. Floral notes are created with a unique blend of the rose centifolia resulting in a unique and sensual feminine fragrance.

In keeping with Chopard’s stunning perfume bottle designs, Rose de Caroline is housed in a weighty glass bottle tinted in a beautiful rouge hue. Complete with a gold sculptured cap, the bottle in itself is a sensation to hold and to behold.

Chopard’s commitments to sustainable fragrances

Caroline believes the difference between chemical fragrances and luxury natural scent is easy to spot.

Dedicated to ensuring luxury scents are also sustainable, Caroline and Chopard work incessantly to track and trace every movement of their product from raw material to the bottling prior to shipment to retailers around the world.

From the creation to the launch and the sale of any Chopard fragrance, the highest measures are taken to ensure fair treatment of workers and the environment and to maximise positive socio-economic implications of the production of the essence.

This is important to Caroline and her team at Chopard. The Journey to Sustainable Luxury reflects the caring and conscious consumers they want to connect with – a consumer concerned with environmental issues and who rightly demands transparency and accountability from their chosen brand.

Rose de Caroline is but one of Chopard’s stunning fragrances available to discover and cherish today. Explore the beautiful garden of Chopard’s fragrance collection and delight your senses in a world of exquisitely refined natural scents.
