Ask the average Australian which is Australia’s fastest growing city and they’d probably tell you it was Brisbane, the Gold Coast or Sydney. Many people are surprised when they find out it’s actually Melbourne, an exciting, cosmopolitan and dynamic place that is now home to almost four million people. As well as having a resilient economy and one of the most enviable lifestyles in the developed world, Melbourne is also becoming an increasingly popular place to live.

In good news for Aussie expats and investors, prominent Melbourne developer Central Equity will be returning toLondonfor a sneak preview of their next Melbourne Apartment project. “Melbourne Property Info Sessions” will be held inLondonfor four days commencing from Thursday 10 November through 13 November at the Sheraton Park Tower, 101 Knightsbridge London. These highly informative sessions are intended to help people discover how simple it can be to buy, lease and manage aMelbourneinvestment property while living in the UK. There will be guest speakers from Australia including a mortgage broker providing information on Australian mortgages and an Australian Solicitor specialising in Australian property purchases and migration.

Despite the Australian mining states attracting a lot of attention recently,Victoria (with its diversified economy), created more jobs than any other state in the year to September 2010 and has remained steady since (ABS, September 2010).Victoria now has the nation’s joint-lowest unemployment rate at 4.7 per cent (Invest Victoria, July, 2011). In addition, the state accounts for 25% of the Australian economy, has maintained a AAA Credit Rating and the State Budget is forecast to remain in surplus in coming years.

Things are so good in Melbourne it has just been voted the World’s Most Liveable City by the esteemed Economist Intelligence Unit. This number one ranking is based on its exceptional performance in the categories of political and social stability, low crime rates, and access to quality healthcare and education. Other considerations were its high standards of cultural diversity, the natural environment, infrastructure, public transport and prestigious cultural events.

Since 1992, prominent local developer Central Equity (an Australian owned company) has pioneered Melbourne inner-city living and much of the increase in popularity in this kind of accommodation in the city is attributed to the company. The company also provides a ‘one stop shop’ for all property needs including property management, leasing, and resale services. Central Equity London is currently celebrating its 10th year with an office set up to service UK and European based clients and has established a fantastic relationship with UK locals and expats alike.

Info Session attendees will be also be able to view a full range of Melbourne property including quality land in Melbourne’s North and West growth corridors plus a limited number of inner-city Southbank Apartments that are currently under construction — there will also be an exclusive opportunity to preview the company’s upcoming Southbank Apartment project.
