Whiskey Rebellion; raising the Alley Cat roof this February

AS Kevin Spacey would say, you never know who you’re going to meet running through a park at night. Luckily for George Katralis, Seb Agudelo and Tom Starr-Marshall the running was in aid of moving a rugby ball from one end of said park to the other and the people met along the way were to become not only great mates but what will one day be commonly known as Whiskey Rebellion.

Upon meeting these lads it was instantly evident how tight they truly are.  All agreed there was an instant connection when they all first came together in the studio and whilst as with most rock groups there is a leader who brings in the basic song skeletons, it is very clear that each member brings something significant to the table in the collaborative process.

On guitar and lead vocals, George Katralis heads up the writing division for the rebellion.  With fresh, vibey rock licks and hooks he’s manages to bring back the old school You Am I vibe many of us grew up with and places it firmly back in the current rock scene. Seb Agudelo’s  extremely natural flowing style on bass along with his sweet but punchy backing vocals raise the tunes so they’re stuck on repeat in your mind and drummer Tom Starr-Marshall (yes…Starr…. Marshall…you read correctly) brings it all together with some absolutely kick ass, driving beats.

This rock trio have done everything but take it slow. With a Summer UK/Euro tour already in the making only six months after that fateful night in the park they’ve already rocked legendary haunts such as London’s famous Proud Camden and even tinkered on Lennon’s ivories at Abbey Road Studios.

Amazed by the support of their ever growing fan base and so very grateful for just how attentive London audiences are, Whiskey Rebellion have without a doubt found the place they should be. Pumped for their 22 February gig at Alley Cat on London’s music heaven row, Denmark Street, these guys are set to raise the roof.  They may be just three but that make one hell of a noise!
