This Australia Day there’s a BBQ at Richie’s house. And a marvelous affair it promises to be.
In the 2015 edition of the popular Lambassador Australia Day adverts, promoting Aussie lamb, cricket doyen Richie Benaud makes some classic catches, getting on the blower to some fellow Australian icons and rounding them up for a barbecue.
Captain Cook – he’s in. Burke and Wills, Ned Kelly and Ita Buttrose – they are definately coming. Lambassador Sam Kekovich – yep, naturally… it’s Australia Day! Billy Birmingham (aka: The 12th Man) … yeah, nah mate.
