JAMES BOND is the star of the latest marketing campaign by VisitBritain.com to lure foreign visitors to the UK.
Inspired by the fictional MI6 character’s cameo at the London Olympics Opening Ceremony, the action packed video capitalises on the global brand of 007 by likening Britain to the charismatic secret agent’s most admired qualities.

Opening with the familiar sound of the James Bond theme tune, the word ‘Iconic’ is emblazoned over the landmark Tower Bridge and followed by a classic scene of the debonair Sean Connery in a tuxedo.
We are then whisked over the ‘Rugged’ British coastline before glancing Timothy Dalton’s Bond.
The UK’s cities are described as ‘Exciting’ before Roger Moore goes to jump from a helicopter as it sweeps past the Houses of Parliament.
A scene from the latest James Bond instalment, Skyfall, with Dame Judi Dench’s M and Daniel Craig’s 007 looking across and misty Scottish Highlands vista is appropriately described as ‘Breathtaking’.
Pierce Brosnan powering up the Thames towards the O2 Arena in a jet boat earns both ‘Inspiring’ and ‘Adventurous’ while Bond atop the London skyline is simply ‘Timeless’.
As in the Olympics, the finale of the piece features Bond descending from the air under the trademark Union Jack parachute.
The clip concludes by declaring that James Bond is GREAT ..Britain; and that ‘You’re invited’.
