Changes in the Wimbledon competition in 2022
Previously, tennis competitors would have needed to adhere to strict attire rules which stated that players should only wear suitable tennis attire that should be almost completely white.
This year, the rules have changed a bit and include changes in the days the competition is played. This time around, players will be playing on Sundays which would usually be considered a day off.
In more good news, stadiums will now allow the full capacity of the venue to be filled. This comes in place as most covid restrictions are lifted. Right now, the world is slowly moving to what it once was.
So far, players from Russia will be banned from the tournament as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. These include Aryna Sabalenka, Victoria Azarenka, Daniil Mededev, Andrey Rublev, and Karen Kachanov.
