Sam Newman is one of the good friends of the late Shane Warne who passes away just days ago. The sports community has suffered a great loss and has been in mourning since the news of the cricketer’s death. 

Sam Newman pays emotional tribute to Shane Warne

In a recent interview, Sam Newman has paid tribute to the wonderful person Shane Warne was to him and other friends. He shared that Shane was a very loyal person. As he had supported him when he lost his wife Amanda’s sudden death. She is said to have suffered from cardiac arrest.

According to The Citizen, Shane Warne had died from natural causes. He was found to have suffered from a heart attack. Shane was found unresponsive in the Villa he had been staying in Thailand after failing to show up to dinner. On the other hand, Sam Newman had learned of his death through a news notification.

The aftermath of the tragic news

He was taken to hospital but he, unfortunately, could not be revived. After the autopsy results have been revealed, his family has accepted the cause but is now dealing with the tragic and sudden death. Shane Warne was just 52-year-old.

Sam Newman and Shane Warne had been friends for nearly 30 years and was very emotional to talk about his dear friend in the past tense. Sam also explained how he had found out about his death via a news notification. He was reportedly in disbelief to hear about this.

“On the day I learned of his death I was in bed and I heard the beep go on my phone, which was beside the bed,”

Shane Warne and Sam Newman were supposed to go car shopping once Shane had come back from Thailand. Shane was also going to go for a check-up as he had been experiencing chest pains in Thailand as relayed by his father.
