Donald Trump is set to visit the UK next week, but he’ll be greeted by a wave of protesters and a giant inflatable of himself wearing a nappy. Ladies and gentlemen, get ready to meet Trump Baby.

As confirmed by iNews, The City of London as finally given permission to a protest group who want to fly a giant inflatable of Trump over the capital when he arrives in London on Friday 13 July. Perhaps not for the first time, the US President will be full of hot air.

Donald Trump’s UK visit

Initially, the mayor’s office were reluctant to let it go ahead but had their arms twisted by a large swell of support for the creative demonstration. The Trump Baby itself is truly a sight to behold…

Wow! Tremendous win for #TrumpBaby supporters! This is BIG news that nobody saw happening – I am going on a World Tour! Wherever little Donald goes, I will be close behind. There is so much good to do, the world needs #TrumpBaby! https://t.co/aZXE1uREl0? pic.twitter.com/3rkd21GMhL

HUGE news coming in: DONALD J TRUMP BABY WILL FLY! @SadiqKhan tried to play hard ball – in the end he had to make a Deal. No surprise – he’s never won anything in his life! Sad – but True! London here I come! https://t.co/j3KCPimHI2 pic.twitter.com/oc2VKWKSN1 — Trump Baby (@TrumpBabyUK) July 5, 2018

Leo Murray is an activist for the campaign and admitted had been a struggle to get the approval. However, he was elated with the local government’s u-turn:

“We didn’t get off to the best start with the Mayor’s office over this, who originally told us that they didn’t recognise Trump Baby as legitimate protest.”

“But, following a huge groundswell of public support for our plan, it looks like City Hall has rediscovered its sense of humour. Trump Baby will fly.”

How can I see the Trump Baby over London?

It will officially take to the skies next Friday morning. They have been given permission to fly their inflatable for two hours above Parliament Square in London. The iconic venue is also home to Westminster and Big Ben.

Several high-profile protests are being orchestrated across London to show Donald Trump that he might not be as well-loved as he thinks he is. Scandals ranging from the endorsement of white supremacists to separating young immigrant children from their families has marred his time in office.

Trump, of course, extolled the values of free speech in his election campaign. It will be very interesting to see what he makes of a 20-foot inflatable of himself hovering above London. After all, the liberty to express yourself is a two-way street, Donald.
