Rolf Harris appeared in court in London on Monday to face further charges of indecent assault.

The 87-year-old disgraced Australian entertainer was released from prison on Friday last week, having served time since 2014 for convictions of indecent assault.

Harris was appearing in Southwark Crown Court on Monday to answer four charges of child sexual assault in a fresh trial relating to accusations that he groped teenage girls between the ages of 13 and 16 over a period from 1971 to 1983.

Harris had so far been attending the trial via video conference from prison. The release, requested by barristers representing Harris in the trial and not opposed by the prosecution, was granted on condition that he attend the trial in person.
