The jury deliberated for five days before Maxwell was found guilty on five of the six counts she faced. She currently faces 65 years in prison.

As the verdict was read, Maxwell showed very little reaction to the black mask she was wearing. Before being escorted out of the courtroom, Maxwell did not hug her attorneys as she did in previous hearings.

With regards to the charges made against her, Ghislaine Maxwell denied the charges vehemently through her lawyers. She also declined the risk to testify and told the judge there is no reason to testify.

“The government has not proven its case beyond a reasonable doubt so there is no reason for me to testify.””The government has not proven its case beyond a reasonable doubt so there is no reason for me to testify.”

At this time, it is not yet known when Ghislaine Maxwell will be sentenced.

A housekeeper for Epstein’s home revealed that he was expected to be “blind, deaf and dumb” about the private life of Epstein who found himself in the likes of Britain’s Prince Andrew as well as Donald Trump.

One of the witnesses going by the pseudonym Carolyn testified to the court that she was one of the underprivileged children who lived near Epstein’s Florida home. She also added that she took up an offer to do massages in exchange for $100 bills. Prosecutors described this as “a pyramid of abuse”.

Each testimony echoed the same story which encapsulates Maxwell taking an interest in the girls’ difficult lives and promising that Jeffrey Epstein could make their dreams come true.
