Only in Australia can a pleasant ride be ruined by an airborne marsupial… and on Australia Day, no less!
Check out this clip, published on Facebook, of the moment a cyclist, who News.com.au identified only as Rebecca, was taken out by a kangaroo which jumped out of the roadside scrub.
According to News.com.au, Rebecca was cycling on Friday with friends around Boonah in Queensland when the flying kangaroo collected her. While she had to be taken to hospital for stitches and a shoulder injury, the stunned kangaroo bounded away from the scene.
“Within a day she was having a rueful laugh about it all and worrying about the work days she will miss,” Rebecca’s riding companion, Helen, said, according to News.com.au.
