Brian Houston will no longer be a part of the Hillsong church he founded nearly two decades ago. This comes after he had stepped down from his leadership duties.

Brian Houston will no longer be part of Hillsong

Previously, we reported that Brian Houston will stand down from his leadership duties due to an upcoming court case surrounding his father. But it seems that he will no longer be part of the franchise.

According to The Guardian, Brian Houston was found to have breached the pastor’s code of conduct. That is, in two events in which he behaved inappropriately with two women.

The one incident happened with a former employee who received inappropriate text messages from Brian. The woman had reportedly resigned and couldn’t find work thereafter.

Breaching pastor’s code of conduct

It is alleged that Brian had been very dependent on sleeping pills at the time and has made a great effort to divert his dependence on it as a result of the incident.

Brian Houston has profusely apologized to both women and has compensated them from his own pocket. The second incident happened at a Hillsong conference in Sydney.

The pastor had allegedly had too much to drink at the event and eventually got locked out of his own room. He then proceeded to knock on the door of a woman who he met in the hotel hallway.

It is reported that Brian Houston stayed inside the room of the woman for an estimated 40 minutes. Both the woman and Brian have denied that any sexual activity has taken place. She did however complain about his behavior.

The result of Brian’s behavior was also reported to be due to a  mix of both anxiety pills mixed with alcohol. Later this year, Brian will be in court setting the record straight that he hid his father’s child-sex abuse.
