In case you find some work in Australian, following we are sharing a few points that will help you out.

Spelling

This is the first thing we will discuss. Just like with any other country, there are significant differences in spelling between American and Australian English. Following, we are giving some basic examples.

• Er becomes Re
• Ize becomes ise
• Yze becomes Yse
• E becomes Oe or Ae (depending on context)

The story doesn’t end here; there are also differences in the verb. For example, American English doesn’t use “e” in verbal form, but Australian English does it. This is not systematic, but definitely something you should remember.

Punctuation

American English uses a serial comma before like “and,” This is not the case with Australian English. Moreover, American English can decide to and not to use this comma.

The other big difference is quotation marks. American English uses a single quote for inside a quote where Australian English use a double quote for the whole quote instead. There are different ways both these languages handle quotation.

Another good example will be Period, comma. It is used inside quotes in American English, whereas it goes outside in Australian English.

Grammar

Speaking language differences, there is no way we are going to dismiss the changes in Grammar. There are noticeable differences in how both these languages handle their collective nouns. The verb is single in American English where it can be Plural in Australian.

The Past Participles are also different as American English prefer Second Past Terms, where Australian English is more prone to Third Past Term. It seems like they assume the worst.

Measurements

The date order in American English is Day/Month/Year. In Australia, it is Month/Day/Year. Also, Australia doesn’t use the 12-hour clock as used in Americas. Instead, they use 24-hour clock which is more commonly known as the military time.

Australia also uses the metric system, unlike American. So, make sure you convert pound to the ounce, an inch to feet and metric to a mile. These are the basics you need to mind.

Minding these differences can be real trouble. So, if you have some assignment you need to be done, you better hire an essay writer Australia instead of doing it yourself. They will take off your burden and do a way better job then you ever would.

Double Consonants

The Australian English takes a formal approach here and uses Double Consonants instead of Single. There is one exception, and that too is the word “program.” If you are going to write it in an Australian Paper, you better make it “Programme.”

Remember what we said earlier, There is a significant difference between English Languages of different countries like America, Australia, Great Britain and others. So, if you ever find an assignment, you better leave it to the pros.
