Home and personal insurance in Australia

MOVE TO AUSTRALIA | Insurance might be a grudge purchase, but it is a necessary evil and can potentially protect you from catastrophic financial losses. Australia has a well-developed home and personal insurance market, and as with banking, there are a range of choices to make.

SOME of the biggest names in the Australian insurance market are Allianz, AAMI, AXA, CGU, GIO, QBE, RACV and Suncorp. The big four banks – ANZ, The Commonwealth Bank of Australia, NAB and Westpac – can also offer you tailored insurance products.

As with choosing the correct bank for you, it is advisable to consult a financial advisor about these products, as they can match a particular product to suit your finances and needs. General insurance

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia* offers a home and contents cover, which is available separately or as a combined discounted policy for your protection and peace of mind. There are also flexible payment arrangements — monthly or annually – to suit your financial needs.
