Why buy eco face masks?

A year ago, not many of us were used to wearing face masks in our daily lives. Now, wearing a mask is a part of heading out on a shopping trip, seeing loved ones, and even going to work.

If you have been using disposable masks, you may have found that you’re using them up at a rapid rate. With masks looking likely to be a big part of our daily lives for the foreseeable future, you may want to invest in something a little more long-lasting, in which case, you will want to opt for eco face masks

Why go eco?

There are so many reasons to choose an eco-friendly, reusable mask rather than the disposable variety, but one of the leading reasons is that disposable masks can take years – even hundreds of years – to degrade, meaning that they will simply go to landfill and create more plastic waste. A reusable mask is a sturdier alternative that will reduce waste.

How often do you wear your mask?

Do you wear a mask only when you are heading into the supermarket? In this case, an eco mask can save you from using a disposable mask that you will only have to throw away right after your visit.

On the other hand, if you wear your mask all day at work then you will find that you need to change your mask every couple of hours once it becomes moist. As this happens, the mask loses its efficacy, so you will need to change it.

With an eco mask, you can simply bag up your old mask and wash them once you get home, creating no extra waste as you go about your day.

The fit

Disposable face masks are something of a one size fits all situation, whereas eco face masks can sometimes have the straps adjusted to fit properly. You may also, in some cases, be able to order masks of different sizes to suit different facial sizes. This is especially beneficial in areas where those of all ages may be gathering.

The fabric should also feel comfortable and breathable against your face so that you can wear the mask for as long as you need without feeling the urge to take it off before you should. A well-fitting mask means that you will be able to more effectively keep yourself and others safe.

Money-saving

Over time, buying multiple boxes of disposable masks is going to add up in cost, especially if you are an employer buying them to kit out your employees and/or consumers. Providing employees (or even just your own family) with reusable masks is not only a fantastic way of looking out of the environment, but it is a financially savvy move that ensures you will never run out of face masks since your reusable ones can be safely used again and again.

Design choice

If you are looking to get a bulk supply of eco masks that you can hand out to your employees, the masks can be personalised to reflect your company colours and any kind of branding you want. This not only looks much better than the standard disposable masks, but they also provide a little free advertising at the same time.

Are you ready to invest in some eco masks to save yourself money and save putting a strain on the environment? Now is the perfect time to invest in a reusable mask that you can wear everywhere.
