Where to watch Guy Fawkes Day 2012 fireworks in London


SOUTH LONDON

Battersea Park Fireworks 2012

One of London’s flagship fireworks events, this year the Battersea Park display is themed ‘London Celebrates’. And celebrate they will with a program featuring exciting fire acts, a bonfire and a touch of tradition with mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and toffee apples.

One of London’s biggest and most popular events, this will surely be a night to remember.

Entry is through advance tickets only and cost £10 on the day or £8 if pre-purchased. The bonfire will be lit at 7.30pm and fireworks are due to start at 8pm.

SOUTH WEST LONDON

Richmond Family Fireworks Display 2012
Sunday 4 Nov, The Athletic Ground, Twickenham Road, Surrey, Richmond, TW9 2SF

With a family friendly atmosphere, and a theme centred around the ‘Best of British’ set to British music, this is one for the adults and the kids. Family friendly entertainment involves dance performances, competitions, fairground rides, a bonfire and a hog roast.

Advance tickets can be purchased directly from the Richmond Athletic Association club house and cost £8.00 for adults and £5.00 for kids, with under fives getting in for free. An advance family ticket for two adults and four children costs £25.00.

Gates open at 4.30pm, and the fireworks start at 7pm.

WEST LONDON

Bishops Park Fireworks 2012
Friday 2 Nov, Bishops Park, Stevenage Rd, London, SW6 6ER

One of west London’s biggest fireworks events, this year’s festivities will celebrate not only Guy Fawkes, but that other British man of the moment — James Bond, with the firework display choreographed to Bond themed music.

There will be a funfair and food stalls, but it is prohibited to bring your own fireworks, sparklers, alcohol or dogs to the event.

Gates open at 6pm for the children’s show at 7.15pm and the main show at 8pm. Entrance costs £7.00 for everyone 5 and over. Advance tickets are also available at £5.00 from the Lyric Theatre box office until 2 Nov 5.30pm.

Ravenscourt Park Fireworks 2012
Saturday 3 Nov, Ravenscourt Park, Ravenscourt Rd, Hammersmith, W6 OUL

Also courtesy of Hammersmith and Fulham Council this display will mirror the Bishops Park’s celebrations held the night before. Again, a massive display of pyrotechnics, with the added entertainment of food stalls and funfair rides.

Gates open at 6pm for the children’s show at 7.15pm and the main show at 8pm. Entrance costs £7.00 for everyone 5 and over. Advance tickets are also available at £5.00 from the Lyric Theatre box office until 2 Nov 5.30pm.

EAST LONDON

Weavers Field Fireworks 2012

The Weavers Fields fireworks display is one of three events organised by Tower Hamlets Council for Bonfire Night. Other community focused displays are taking place at Millwall Park and Bartlett Park to replace the fireworks at Victoria Park.

The Weavers Fields fireworks display takes place from 7.30pm. Admission is free.

CENTRAL LONDON

Corams Fields Fireworks 2012
Fri 2 Nov, Corams Fields, 93 Guilford Street, WC1N 1DN

A more intimate display designed for families in mind, the Corams Fields fireworks display will be lighting up the skies above the British Museum with a colourful and seasonal show.

Hot drinks and homemade cakes will be available, and organisers will be collecting small donations on the gate for charity.

Fireworks display takes place at 5.30pm and gates open at 5pm. Admission is free, but donations to charity are invited.

Cleveland Square Fireworks 2012
Mon 5 Nov, Cleveland Square, London W2 6DA

A loud and colourful show to highlight the skies above Hyde Park, this celebration will also feature a huge bonfire, barbeque, mulled wine and music.

Tickets are only available in advance from the Cleveland Arms on Chilworth Street, and no tickets will be available to buy on the gate. The gates open at 6pm, the bonfire is lit at 6.30pm, the fireworks begin at 7.30pm and the gates close at 9.30pm.
