I Think I’m a Poof is an inspirational picture book for children about a young boy coming out to his father. In the book, the father explains how to overcome the challenges of being homosexual, in order to live a beautiful life.
In the video above, three Australian fathers read the book out loud and explain how their own sons came out to them. One of their sons, Samuel Leighton-Dore, in fact wrote the book.
Leighton-Dore told Buzzfeed how moved he was making the video:
“Having spent so many years in the closet, dreading my parents’ response, it highlighted how far society has come in such a short period of time,” he said.
