Technoblade, whose identity remains mostly confidential, will remain that way after the passing of the late Youtuber. As shared by his family, the gamer worked very hard to keep his identity confidential.

Youtuber sadly passes away

Just hours before the Youtuber, dubbed Technoblade passed on, he decided to pen a letter to his fans which his father shared on Thursday. The video shared also included some thoughts from his family.

“We, the family of Technoblade, wanted you all to know just how much he adored and respected his fans and colleagues. From Technoblade’s earliest online days, he was always strategizing ways to delight and reward his audience.”

In August 2021, Technoblade shared with his followers that he had persistent pain in his arm which he surmised was a result of playing games all the time. After a mass continued to grow on his arm, he decided to get a check-up at the doctor.

Unfortunately, Technoblade was informed that he had cancer which was very far along at that point. To date, the gamer has been very private about his identity. However, his name as reported by Variety was revealed to be Alex.

Thus far, Alex was a lover of Minecraft and formed part of a large community with the same passion. The game has so far sold at least 230 million copies worldwide.

As for the letter written by Alex, the Youtuber shared a heartfelt message on paper which his father shared with the public. The letter was written at least eight hours before his death.

“Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you’re watching this. I am dead,” Technoblade said, revealing that his real name is Alex. “Thank you all for supporting my content over the years. If I had another hundred lives, I think I would choose to be Technoblade again every single time as those were the happiest years of my life.”

Presently, a message on Technoblade’s online store reads that a portion of the proceeds of the online store will be donated to curesarcoma.org. It also read that it will be in honor of his memory.
