James Franco recently appeared on The Jess Cagle Podcast this week and gave an inside look into what took place amidst the sexual misconduct allegations.

New Interview With SiriusXM

In his recent interview this week, James Franco opened up about struggling with sex addiction as well as alcohol abuse.

According to BBC News, James has been doing some self-discovery work and has been a recovering sex addict since 2016.

While speaking to the interviewer, James relayed that he “cheated on everyone he has been with before Isabel”

He further explained that his sister-in-law had given him a book on sex addiction to which he could relate to but it felt like everything written in the book was personal for him as it “hit me like a bullet” he explained.

At a certain point, James Franco relayed what one of his sponsors had told him. He noted that this individual told him that cheating is dishonest and that it’s not good for his sobriety but if he isn’t dating anyone and he wants to go and hook up that’s fine.

He continued to say that whatever happens between two consenting adults it’s fine. The problem with this is that he turned it into a motto.
