A YouTube clip of a Channel Nine Today show Australian reporter fleeing from a rampaging rooster is enjoying new life online, after being discovered by UK radio station Capital FM.
Roving weatherman Steve Jacobs was filmed presenting a segment from a farm show holding a docile black cockerel. That is, before the cockerel decides to suddenly flap its wings, sending Jacobs into a panic.
Jacobs runs off in mock fear, as colleagues can be heard laughing in the background.
The segment was filmed in 2008, and earned headlines in Australia after it was aired on the Today show.
Now it is enjoying new viral infamy, after London radio station Capital FM included it in their ‘Best Web Wonder’ segment.
