With the year halfway over, everyone around the world is getting ready for a new crop of notable films.

Morbius – April 1

You may have seen Spider-Man and Wonder Woman, but what about the lesser-known Marvel Universe characters? This April kicks off with Morbius, a movie based on a character created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Gil Kane. You may not be familiar with him, but there is a strong chance you are familiar with another MARVEL anti-hero: Venom.

Morbius stars actor Jared Leto who acts as a scientist who turns himself into a vampire to cure his blood disease but ends up having to feed on the blood of others to stay alive. This flick isn’t for everyone, and you should expect a much more dramatic, bloodier movie than what you’re used to with Marvel films.

Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore – April 15

You’ll feel like a kid again waiting for a new Harry Potter book! This time it will be about Newt Scamander (played by Eddie Redmayne) and the secrets of Dumbledore. Join young wizard and Magizoologist Newt Scamander in his adventures with a cast of magical creatures (and a few humans, too!).

Unfortunately, the big-screen version of the franchise is being split into five films this time around, meaning Warner Bros. markets will be filling up with new releases in quite a span. But with Rowling at the helm and Eddie Redmayne starring as the famous Newt, it’s no surprise that Potterheads worldwide can’t wait to see their favorite characters brought to life on-screen yet again.

Mission Impossible 7 – September 30, 2022

Spies, double agents, international terrorist organizations, and betting in high-stakes casinos are some ingredients you expect to find in the Mission Impossible franchise. Tom Cruise has been with the franchise since the beginning. Based on a popular television series of the same name, MI:7 is guaranteed to be an action-packed blockbuster that could break box office records.

If you want to experience the same casino lifestyle in the movie, consider using a platform like Vwin. Vwin is a Vietnamese betting casino platform that offers games like Blackjack and Baccarat. Players can use the platform to bet on actual money, so it’s a great place to test your luck as a world-class spy!

The Northman – April 22

To say that everyone is excited for the new Viking film, the Northman, would be a colossal understatement. The film revolves around a Viking Prince bent on taking revenge for his father’s death.

This film is getting a lot of buzz because it looks like someone decided to crown the tale with some epic fight scenes and incredible storytelling. At any rate – the film comes out on April 22.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – May 6

The folks behind Marvel Studios are working on their latest flick that will star Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead role. The movie will pick up after the events of ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ where his spell went awry and brought Strange into a brand new chapter of his life.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has impressive visuals and superhero action. If you have been into MCU Phase 4 movies, this one should be an absolute must for you.

Jurassic World Dominion – June 10

The dinos are coming! It’s been a while since the last Jurassic Park film, but now they’re back and more terrifying than ever. It is the sixth installment of the franchise set years after the dinos left the famous park. Now it’s up to Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas to save them.

Elvis – June 24

Rock and roll legend Elvis Presley is getting a biopic appearing in June. Starring Austin Butler, this film tells the story of Elvis’ early years and his relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker, played by Tom Hanks. This movie will tell you the whole story of a man that shook up the music scene. It’s sure to be worth watching!

Top Gun: Maverick – May 27

No one can resist the thrill of a fast-flying jet, and Maverick and his flying team are back with more action. This new iteration of the classic film is set to release in September and will undoubtedly have us all as giddy. The cast (Tom Cruise, Glen Powell, Jennifer Connelly) alone should be enough to get you excited.

Summing Up

Those are just a few of the movies that have everyone excited this year. So definitely make a point of getting them in your calendar. The more you explore these films, the more you’ll become a hardcore fan of these characters. Make sure to prepare some popcorn and get ready for some great and entertaining experiences.
