Colton Underwood shocked the world when he first came out as gay during an interview and came out uncomfortably so.
This time around, Colton is choosing to share his narrative which evidently couldn’t be shared in one exclusive interview, and rightfully so.
In the trailer of his series which premiered on 3rd December, Colton explains why he came out after he and his ex-girlfriend ended on bad terms. It was first thought that he came out to quiet down the talk of his relationship going into flames but Colton is clearing up those rumors.
Colton hurt others because he was unhappy
In the clip, Colton explains that because he was unhappy with himself and who he was to the world, he ended up hurting other people in the process too and this is not who he wanted to be.
The best decision for him was to come out and show the world his true self in order to live a better life.
While the LGBTQ+ community is still under criticism for many, one can understand why Colton chose to remain silent and live a life he didn’t want to.
Learning to form a connection with a man
Colton also opens up about his previous bachelor relationship in where his ex-girlfriend needed to file a restraining order against him. As things continued to go south, he decided that it is time to reveal his true self to the world regardless of the backlash.
Considering Colton’s love life now, he revealed that he’s still trying to figure out how to be on an emotional level with a man and is unsure of “how to be on an emotional level with a man”
