Elon Musk took his Twitter fingers and quickly caused a stir after a meme he posted proved to be insensitive towards the current Russia-Ukraine war.

Elon Musk makes a Russia-Ukraine joke too soon

While some of the fans of Elon were amused, the meme surely fell flat with many of his others. In the ongoing war, Musk has offered all of his Tesla employees up to three months’ pay. This is if they wished to go home and fight the war in Ukraine.

Right now, this help provided to Ukraine does not go unnoticed. But the joke by Elon Musk will surely not fly by his cognizant followers. In the Twitter post, Elon Musk took a jab at Netflix as well as the “woke” culture as reported by 7News.

Taking a jab at Netflix

In the post, he shared that Netflix will be waiting until the war is over before they can compile a documentary. That is, about the tragic crisis going on between Russia and Ukraine.

The father of eight and billionaire clearly did not think this through. Thus far, many found it insensitive of him to make a joke about the matter. As this is very much still fresh and ongoing. Right now, Elon Musk is trending for all the wrong reasons.

While the joke was aimed at Netflix, the post may not have gone as planned. In fact, it took a completely different direction for Musk. With some saying,

“Millions of people are being affected with the ongoing crisis, some have lost their lives while others, their source of livelihood, so show some empathy.”
