Aussies voted among sexiest in the world… well, sort of

Australia's men and women are right up there in this sexiest nationalities in the world 'survey'. But something's not quite right about this study. Nice try, America... and thanks for the shout out.

In a ‘highly scientific’ (ahem) American study by dating site Miss Travel, pictures of the likes of Kim Kardashian, Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shade of Grey star), Rihanna and celebs of other ‘exotic’ nationalities were placed in front of American men and women to determine which ‘nationality’ is the absolute sexiest.

44,873 American men voted and dubbed Kim Kardashian hottest of them all, which means that all Armenian women came in first, obviously.

The results were as follows:

  1. Armenian (Kim Kardashian)

  2. Barbadian/Bajan (Rihanna)

  3. American (Beyonce, Kendall Jenner)

  4. Colombian (Shakira, Sofia Vergara)

  5. English (Rosie Huntington-Whitely)

  6. Australian (Margot Robbie, Elle Macpherson)

  7. Brazilian (Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio)

  8. Filipina (Nicole Scherzinger, Vanessa Hudgens)

  9. Bulgarian (Nina Dobrev)

  10. Lebanese (Amal Clooney)

Then it was the ladies turn. 66,309 American women decided that Jamie Dornan was particularly ravishing in 50 Shades of Grey and have dubbed Ireland the nation of hunks, obviously.

1. Irish (Jamie Dornan, Colin Farrell)

2. Australian (Chris and Liam Hemsworth)

3. Pakistani (Zayn Malik)

4. American (Michael B Jordan, Justin Timberlake)

5. English (Charlie Hunnam, David Beckham)

6. Scottish (Calvin Harris)

7. Italian (Joe Manganiello)

8. Nigerian (Tinie Tempah)

9. Danish (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau)

10. Spanish (Gerard Pique)

Umm, isnt this just a ‘rate your hottest celebrity’ questionnaire? Really, the most we can take from this ‘study’ is how little America knows about each nationality and how celebrity-oriented they (and we, to be fair) are.

Nice try, guys.
