Have you had some ink that wasn’t quite what you had imagined or simply outgrown the design? With summer days approaching, you might find your tattoo is out more than usual making you think about your decisions. If you’re the owner of a regrettable tattoo, there are a range of options to help.

Laser Tattoo Removal

Suppose you’re looking to remove your tattoo forever. Tattoos are no longer a permanent decision since laser technology has developed a way to remove the ink particles from the body. Techniques like Laser Tattoo Removal have been introduced and have come a long way since tattoos were first introduced. It is often described as the same pain as getting or sometimes a bit more painful, but the treatments are over quicker than getting a tattoo.

The Picoway and Picosure laser machines are the most advanced technology on the market, which means safe and effective results. In most cases, you will require a course of 8-12 treatments with 8-week intervals which means the process could do a few months to a year or more; this is determined when you have a consultation with a tattoo removal specialist. During laser treatments, it’s important to follow the aftercare and advice of your clinic professional. Sunscreen and minimal sun exposure are essential throughout your course of treatments to protect your skin and tattoo.

Cover Up Tattoo

If you’re looking to update and refresh an existing tattoo. Choosing a new tattoo design to go over your old inking can be a great idea if you don’t want to remove the tattoo completely. Any tattoo can be covered up; your tattoo artist may recommend getting a few tattoo removal treatments first to fade the tattoo, especially if it is darker and larger.

Once you’ve had the tattoo removal treatments, you need to wait a minimum of 3 months for the area to heal before getting the coverup. This can help to make the tattoo look more appealing and without causing damage or scarring to the area. If you do not require any tattoo removal treatments before the coverup, you can go straight in, and any talented artist will be able to create a new design for you that will effectively cover the existing artwork.  The best thing to do is some research online but also you can reach out to one of the practitioners at Pulse Light Clinic for a free consultation.

Correcting Your MistakesAs discussed above, tattoos are no longer the life changing decision they used to be. For some people, a tattoo is a sign of commitment, but in modern times things are less likely to last forever. Even though laser tattoo removal is now available, it is still recommended that you take your time over what tattoo you have. Names of partners and specific dates are things to be considered before getting a tattoo.
