Sky Sports to go all out with impressive commentary line-up for the Ashes

Sky Sports have made it its mission to bring in the big hitters, and they have a dedicated cricket channel where fans can watch.

Sky Sports will be aiming to clear the ropes and hit it out of the park with its coverage of the highly-anticipated Ashes this summer.

The UK broadcaster has exclusive rights to show the oldest Test rivalry in the game between Australia and England, and this has been reflected in the experienced commentary team that will be working during the series.

On the men’s side, there will be a few familiar faces, including Nasser Hussain, Ricky Ponting, Eoin Morgan, and Kevin Pietersen. Meanwhile, the women’s Ashes also takes place this summer, and former England players Lydia Greenway and Isa Guha will be on commentating duties.

Intriguingly, the commentators will rotate for the five-match Test series which culminates in the final game at London’s The Oval, starting on July 27.

Sky Sports have made it its mission to bring in the big hitters, and they have a dedicated cricket channel where fans can watch every ball bowled and every wicket taken.

The onus is on Australia to press home their advantage as the top Test team on the planet, and while they won the last two Ashes series comfortably — 4-0 respectively on home soil, it will be a different challenge in England, and they haven’t fared so well on their travels.

As always, there will be plenty of fans tuning in when the series gets underway, and it will also captivate betting aficionados who will be readying their wagers. Many of the top sites across the world will be well stocked with a raft of lines, and that includes Unibet Australia, who have installed England as the short-priced favourites at 10/11 to win the Ashes. Unibet is renowned for being an excellent operator, and they have a great bet deposit bonus for those players looking to sign up.

The Q: Exciting New Venue will be Transformational for Queensland

It will be fascinating to see who steps up to the plate and makes their mark in the latest edition of the Ashes. For the visitors, Marcus Labuschagne, who was named in the ICC Test Team of the Year in 2021, was also named in the Test Team of the Year for 2022.

Indeed, the crafty all-rounder has averaged over 45 in Ashes Test series against England, and he could give the hosts a huge headache as he can pick up short balls and dispatch them with ease.

England will be hoping to make hay at the top of the order, and they have enjoyed a recent resurgence. In many respects, they are a side that is completely transformed from the one that was eviscerated in the previous Ashes series.

And Sky Sports will be the place to watch all the action unfold. We can’t wait to see how things unravel, and as you may expect with any ordinary Ashes series, there will be plenty of twists and turns.
