Steven Melksham and his fellow demons were at a dinner when the fight broke out between the two parties. It is reported that the men had a small disagreement.

Defender banned for a week

Thus far, the Demons have decided to ban Steven May as a way of discipline for the defender. The club shared that Steven should not have been drinking at all as a result of a concussion he suffered on May 28th.

“The leadership group has recommended imposing a one-match ban on Steven, a decision which has been endorsed by the club’s broader leadership,”

Now, the one-week ban is a big deal for Steven May as this means he will miss an important game against Collingwood at MGM. May also shared that it will be hard for him to watch but accepts the club’s decision.

The Melbourne Demons have released a statement regarding Steve May. Photo: Twitter/Melbourne Demons

“Me not being out on the field is letting them (the fans) down, letting the team down. It’ll be hard to watch the game knowing I’m responsible for not being out there.

Steven May and Jake Melksham to do community service

So far, it is reported that Steve May told Jake Melksham that the Demons would not have won if he were present at the game. As a consequence, May found himself floored after Melksham had punched him for the comment.

Right now, Jake Melksham will also face some consequences with Steven May. Both of them will be participating in some form of community service. As they play a big role in society as role models.
