Rihanna and ASAP Rocky announced that they were expecting in January this year. Ever since then, the singer has been sporting a non-conventional way of maternity wear.

Rihanna aimed to redefine what pregnant women wear

While many women will opt to shop in the maternity section of a store, this was not an option for Rihanna at all.

“My body is doing incredible things right now, and I’m not going to be ashamed of that,”

Till today, Rihanna has been embracing her baby bump, making sure that it is not covered up to show everyone that she is accepting the changes her body is making.

I’m pretty sure I speak for many women when I say Rihanna has actually redefined what pregnant women can wear. Just because a baby is growing inside of you, why should you cover up with unflattering clothes?

Thus far, Rihanna has been actively sharing her baby bump growing on social media. Whether this was captured by the paparazzi or herself, the pop singer does not shy away from showing her pregnant belly.

When it came to talking about her relationship, Rihanna shared what she loved most about being with ASAP Rocky. It’s not entirely based on their same love for fashion.

Riri and ASAP Rocky’s relationship timeline

So far, the Fenty founder and ASAP Rocky were assumed to have had a relationship in 2012 when ASAP casually touched her behind during a performance.

Her manager recalled the moment and said that’s not something she would let slide and that she might actually like ASAP because of the way she reacted. But, Rihanna just thought this was a prank as reported by Harpers Bazaar.

Since then, the pair remained friends until the pandemic hit and the two best friends opted to spend most of their time together and have grown close since.

“He became my family in that time,”

As for becoming a mommy, Rihanna doesn’t care much for the actual birth. This doesn’t scare her at all as she hasn’t even gotten her little babe anything yet. One thing she does hope for is that her child loves fashion just as much as she does.
