Awesome map of free wi-fi passwords at airports around the globe

If you’ve ever been stuck at an airport for whatever reason – flight delay, transit time or whatever else – you know how frustrating it can be to not be connected.

If you don’t have lounge access, you might not always have Wifi access, especially if you are in a foreign country.

Well, travel blogger and computer security engineer Anil Polat has come to your rescue.

He has created an interactive map which allows airport transitters to easily find passwords for the airport they’re at.

Polat started the map following his own frustrating waits at airports, trying to access the free wi-fi services.

What began as his own list was soon expanded when he asked his blog readers to send him additions. It is now available as an app called ‘Free Airport Wi-Fi’ on Apple iOS and Android.

The app allows users to search and keep up with the list, as well as add their own passwords so the list keeps on getting better.

Check it out below. Click on an airport to get the details. Pretty cool!

EXPERT’S TIP: Polat suggests to really make the most of airport free wi-fi, get a USB wireless antenna to extend your signal finding range.
