Prince Harry to miss birth of royal baby as he flies back to Australia

Kate Middleton is now several days overdue for the birth of her second child. Prince Harry will only get to meet the little prince or princess when he returns in mid May after completing his placement with the army in Australia.

Prince Harry returned to the UK over the weekend to distribute prizes at the London Marathon after visiting Turkey to take part in various engagements to mark the centenary of Anzac Day and the Gallipoli campaign.

He extended his return until Monday night in the hope of meeting the new Royal baby.

The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William were told to expect their baby in mid to late April.

UK punters have furiously been betting on the royal baby’s name and what it will look like.

The details of the baby’s arrival, including it’s sex, birth weight and the attending medical staff, will be posted on an easel outside Buckingham Palace, as per tradition.

The news will also be revealed to royal correspondents in a press release and to the general public two minutes later on the Kensington and Buckingham Palace Twitter and Instagram accounts.
