Peaches Geldof was set to film Australian TV show before her death

Peaches Geldof was preparing to move to Australia to film a secret TV show before her untimely death last week.

The revelation came in a recent interview Geldof gave to a Sunday Times magazine, her last before her tragic passing, published at the weekend.

According to Aga Living Magazine, the then 24 year old journalist, model and mother said she had big plans for her future, including a television show to be filmed in Australia.

“I can’t say what it is yet, but I’ll be there for three months,” she said in the interview.

Geldof also told the magazine that her two young sons would move to Australia with her.

“Of course the babies will come with me because obviously I wouldn’t leave them for that long,” she said.

Geldof was found dead at her home in Kent on 7 April. Toxicology tests are being undertaken in an attempt to determine the cause of death after the initial post-mortem proved inconclusive.

Peaches was one of two daughters to Paula Yates and Sir Bod Geldof. She was only 11 years old when her mother died of a heroin overdose. Yates also had a daughter with INXS singer Michael Hutchence who suffered a tragically early death as well.

In the interview, Peaches Geldof said there were “many parallels” between her own life and that of her mother who was “living through me all the time because we are just so similar”.

“She had a really difficult time. There are so many parallels between us. Now I can understand everything.

“I think you have to experience hardships and pain yourself to fully understand people who have been through it, and also you can never really experience happiness unless you’ve had that down feeling too.

Peaches Geldof revealed that when it came to her mother’s death, though, she was in a good place.

“I’m not sure I’ve yet fully made peace with my childhood, but with my mum I have come to terms with everything,” she said.
