Melbourne parking inspectors in $20,000 song and dance number

The City of Melbourne council has reportedly spent $20,000 on a musical video to help make parking inspectors seem more warm and fuzzy to motorists.

The initiative aims to make Melbourne’s much maligned ‘grey ghost’ parking officers more likeable via a song and dance routine, reminding the city’s drivers that they “can’t just make a ticket disappear”.

Can’t just make their dance clip appear either!

Despite the $20,000 ratepayers’ price tag, we can’t (as yet) actually find the full clip on YouTube as has been reported. Nor, at the time of publishing, is it being spruiked on the City of Melbourne council’s own website. As far as we can tell, the clip only appears in snippets on various news programmes and subsequently on YouTube via those news reports.

So I guess we will just have to watch one of those, hey. And if you find the full clip, please send it to me at info@australiantimes.co.uk because we would all love to see it.

Till then: happy rate paying, parking fine paying and street dancing, Melbourne!
