Habour Bridge crash: stolen vehicle catches flames after crash

Habour Bridge crash has found for individuals to be injured. As if there isn’t enough going on in the world, a man has decided to steal a vehicle from another who had been changing his tires. The attempted theft went completely wrong thereafter as the thief is now in hospital.

The man who allegedly stole the car is believed to be in his thirties. He is currently under police guard at Royal North Shore hospital as reported by Young Witness. The police are extremely keen to talk to him after his minor injuries have been tended to.

Four individuals found themselves injured in the Habour Bridge crash

At about 7 am on Monday morning, a man was under the guise of talking to the Kluger owner about his vehicle. He had engaged the man in conversation before there was a scuffle that is believed to have gone on for minutes. The thirty-year-old man then drove away with the Kluger vehicle onto the bridge before the Habour bridge crash.

As relayed by Young Witness, there is dashboard footage of the incident right before and after the crash took place. The driver in the stolen vehicle continued to speed off into traffic – swerving his way between cars before the Habour Bridge crash. As a result, he crashed into two vehicles. In which one was a man in his twenties, the other a woman.

Affected individuals in the crash

The woman in the car is reported to be 60 years of age and has minor injuries. The 20-year-old man in the van was stuck in the vehicle during the Habour bridge crash. And NSW Firefighters needed to cut him out of the vehicle. He is currently in a critical but stable condition.

Before help eventually arrived, many bystanders, or good samaritans if you will, helped some of the other drivers out of their vehicles. The crash is said to have caused a large cloud of smoke on the bridge.

The Habour Bridge crash led to the bridge ultimately being closed off for three hours. It has now been reopened with some delays in bus transportation. Trains, however, will still operate as per normal.
