It didn’t take long for #signguy to start trending on Twitter.

Mark Cave’s facial expressions drew a legion of fans. Here are a few fan favourites:

“We know that you have had a horrific experience today,” said Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.

“The good news is that the cyclone has now been downgraded to a category two.”

“However there still will be damaging winds when the cyclone comes into contact with Biloela.”

“We will be seeing some heavy rain,” added Rob Vertessy from the Bureau of Meteorology.

And the most awkward moment? When Cave had to sign that deaf viewers should, according to Palaszczuk, “Listen to your radio and please remain safe”.

You really have to watch this incredible man live in action.
