Attempted Shark Attack on Mick Fanning at JBay Open in South Africa

Twitter user Sean Dalton (@seanqlder_dolly) has just tweeted a video of an attempted shark attack at the JBay open, on ex world surfing champ Mick Fanning.    There are reports of 2 great white sharks in the water, and the competition has just been called off for the day.

Fortunately Fanning escaped with without serious injury, but was clearly shaken by the incident.  Fanning was quoted as saying “I was just sitting there and I felt something get stuck in my leg rope, and I was kicking trying to get it away” and went on to say “I just saw fins, I was waiting for the teeth”.
