This visa is very similar to the Skilled Nominated (Provisional) visa (subclass 489). However, they key difference is that you must obtain sponsorship from a family member who is a permanent resident of a designated area (essentially anywhere in Australia, except for Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong or Brisbane).
The process, requirements and rules are largely the same, however the sponsored visa is valid for only 4 years.
