What happens when the speakeasies of the 1920s and 30s, burlesque, swing dancers and cabaret fuse with contemporary beats, live music, and audio-visual producers? An unrivalled, unforgettable club night experience presented by White Mink at The Clapham Grand.

The South London venue presents one of the best electro-swing parties in the UK combining jazz from the 20s and 40s with contemporary house, hip-hop and drum ‘n bass beats – White Mink.

Not your typical night out in South London, The Clapham Grand offers the perfect opulent environment for this Electro Swing Speakeasy experience.

This Friday 6 May, in amidst the sexy sounds of Swingrowers, the Italian maestros of electro-swing, the jazz and swing live music act, Flash Mob Jazz, and the fusion of dubstep wobble bass with vintage swing by producer and DJ, Jamie Berry, partygoers can marvel at the alluring burlesque and circus acts on display.

Opening the night will be DJ Nick Hollywood, producer of White Mink, spinning a set of vintage classics.

“Post-modern Jukebox fans will really enjoy what Flash Mob Jazz do to popular hits,” he says. “White Mink regulars will appreciate Swingrowers’s return to electro-swing’s sizable new home in South London. Jamie Berry’s tunes will keep the dancers on the floor until chucking out time.”

The Clapham Grand, according to Nick Hollywood, “echoes a bygone era whilst ushering in the next with a state of the art sound system, refurbishment of its decor and balconies, as well as welcoming events as cool as White Mink”.

“Expect a celebration of the extravagant, lavish visual displays, thrilling burlesque acts, all set to a unique, inspirational soundtrack that mixes retro swing with rebellious electronic beats.”
