Photo of the Week: Matterhorn magic

“The Matterhorn is one of the most recognisable landscapes in Europe and not only appealing to skiers during the winter but for hikers during the summer. This shot was taken late on a summer’s evening where the swirling cloud around the summit combined perfectly with the last rays of the sun to create excellent photography conditions.”

The Matterhorn is a mountain in the Pennine Alps on the border between Switzerland and Italy. Its summit is 4,478 meters high, making it one of the highest peaks in the Alps.

Charlie Inglefield,  living in Geneva, Switzerland took this amazing shot. Charlie runs a small landscape photography business and for more of his images see www.cndiphotography.com.
