Kelis responds to Beyonce sampling her 1999 single

Kelis is best known for her hit single Milkshake. Right now, the artist is fuming at Beyonce for sampling her song without permission. 

Artist Kelis claims Beyonce sampled her song

Amid the Renaissance leak, Kelis was one of the people who actually got to listen before many fans decided to. To date, the artist claims that Beyonce sampled one of her songs on her new album. 

Thus far, Beyonce has sampled more than one song on her Renaissance album. Presently, of the other songs sampled includes her recent release Break My Soul. The single samples the beat from the Show Me Love track by Robin S.

Presently, Kelis shared a lengthy video post about the track Energy which allegedly samples one of her songs from 1999. The artist expressed her frustration with not being reached out to.

“My mind is blown too because the level of disrespect and utter ignorance of all 3 parties involved is astounding. I heard about this the same way everyone else did. Nothing is ever as it seems, some of the people in this business have no soul or integrity and they have everyone fooled.”

Representatives are yet to respond to claims

So far, the singer’s frustration comes as one fan shared that they love the new collaboration with Kelis and Beyonce. However, the star replied in the comments that it was not a collab.

To date, Kelis has had her fair share of frustration when it comes to artists acknowledging her work and using it without crediting her. Some of the artists she alleges stole her work include singer Pharrell Williams. 

According to E! News, representatives for Beyonce has not responded for comment on the latest drama. Whether Energy samples Get along with you is yet to be confirmed.
