The Umbrella Academy: What you need to know about season 3

The Umbrella Academy has succeeded in having viewers wanting more if the infamous superhero family. This Wednesday the dysfunctional family proves that season 2 cannot compare.

Season 3 plays it safe

According to CNC, season 3 has played it safe with its characters this season. That is, each episode does not stray more than 40 minutes long once again.

Thus far, season 3 incorporates more superhero characters which is an opposite version of The Umbrella Academy. In fact, they find themselves in an alternate universe from their own. This dabbles a bit in the multiverse concept from Marvel.

While it may not seem necessary for the public to get yet another superhero clan, the academy adds its own zest and a somewhat new story to the ones we’ve seen before in Marvel.

The Umbrella Academy returns with more characters

As seen in seasons 1 and 2, The Academy centers on a group of orphans which supernatural abilities. Their mission is to save the earth from an apocalypse.

To date, this does not come easy as they are confronted with The Sparrows who evidently clash with The Umbrella Academy clan. This comes as all of them are direct opposites.

As shared in the trailer, The Sparrows and The Umbrella Academy clearly do not like one another and are claiming the territory which was once the orphan’s own turf.

However, the orphans show that they are a bit more smarter if not stronger which gives for an interesting season. Just like Doctor Strange has an opposite in the Multiverse, the academy now faces an opposite of their own.

Right now, the ten episodes of season 3 is available to watch on Netflix.
