The series, Fires, has aired its latest episode – What to expect in Part 3

Fires, the show that hits close to home for all Australians address the wounding bushfire that affected many. Here’s what to expect in episode three.

Since the pandemic hit, many Australians did not get the chance to mourn the devastating impact the bushfires had. The new series Fires breaks the ice in starting the conversation.

While episodes 1 and 2 deal with the genesis of the fire, episode three delves into decision-making for the future of individuals’ lives. Following the spread of the fire to a large amount of ground, it highlights the immense scale of the situation and emphasizes this through the dominance of the orange on screen.

Furthermore, we will see much more of the predicaments we might not have come to see through words. This is where Fires uses visual art to describe events and convey them in ways that would not be seen effectively through other means.

So, how does episode 3 help address the unspoken?

It gives way for a narrative that is identifiable and one that has never been told.

In addition, Fires show two young volunteer firefighters who have a whole lot on their shoulders and make room for the devastation that deals with way more than statistics but how it has an impact on mental health.

Now, we all have some healing to do. Watch Fires on ABC Sunday nights at 8:30 PM.
