Australians and Londoners take kids to school after raves, before hitting the office

When Sydney’s first morning rave was held on Wednesday, 370 sober people hit the dance floor before starting their work day, something which more than 800 Londoners have been doing on a regular basis.

The exercise extravaganza Morning Gloryville launched in Sydney this week.  It attracted not only the loud, trippy, scantily clad energy drink guzzling stereotype but with no alcohol being sold or served and no age restrictions, investment bankers and soccer-mums can now also get their buzz on before starting their day.  This is not a bad idea as you can get your breakfast at the same time with raw veggies and energy shakes on the refreshment stand.

Junilda Ross, organiser of Morning Gloryville, said the Sydney event was such a success that the party will now be held once a month.

“It was amazing, the vibe was great and everyone left really happy – now we’re celebrating.”

While Morning Gloryville was the first of its kind in Australia, early morning raves have been well supported in London for some time now and the pre-work rave for the health conscious has established itself as a regular London event.
