How Travis bridges the gap between Australia and Austria

A mechanical engineer with a varied background of public and private sector experience in both Australia and Europe turned his back on engineering to focus on his passion; travel.

In London, Travis Pittman used his spare time to start one of the world’s first social networks for travel, bugbitten.com, that quickly became the go-to website for expats abroad to share their travel photos and stories. Using London as a base, he set out to explore the world and meet others with similar ambitions.

After making hundreds of friends all over the world, Travis finally found what he was looking for in a small street in Barcelona, Spain. Shortly after, he packed his bags and moved to Austria to live closer to his future wife and mother of a beautiful daughter.

Struck by his fortune and identifying an unfilled gap in the travel market, Travis and his brother Shawn founded TourRadar, with the mission to facilitate lifelong friendships and give others the chance to explore the world with newly made best friends. Ever since, TourRadar has helped thousands of passengers travel the globe to find new perspectives through the people and cultures they experience.

Australia comes to Austria for Eurovision

For the second time in Eurovision Song Contest history, the world’s biggest TV entertainment event is held in Travis’s new hometown, Vienna. Also, due to the 60th anniversary of this glamorous event, Travis’s home country Australia, represented by Guy Sebastian, will compete in the Grand Finals of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.

Travis has a passion for travel and bringing people together while travelling. It was without question that he would get involved. Most Australians are constrained to watching the Eurovision Song Contest from their sofas downunder. Travis built the bridge and crafted an exclusive package that connects the Austrian experience and live Eurovision Song Contest performances.

The package promises lots of culture, ranging from visiting wineries to guided tours in Vienna and Salzburg, a fun group to travel around with, tickets to live performances of all finalists, including Australia and much more (full package details here: www.tourradar.com/eurovision)
