The big winners were Karnivool who took out Most Popular Album and Birds Of Tokyo who scored Most Popular Act.
Ian Kenny (vocalist and frontman for both these acts) deservingly walked away with Best Male Vocalist for the third year running.
Adam Weston, drummer for Birds Of Tokyo was awarded Best Drummer.
Other winners included Eskimo Joe as Most Popular Commercial Act, The Joe Kings for Favourite Newcomer and the Emperors for Most Promising New Act as voted for by industry.
RTRFM was awarded the Media Award and The Amplifier Bar for Most Popular Music Venue.
The event was held at The Capitol Theatre and hosted by Triple J’s The Doctor and RTRFM’s Peter Barr.
While it was a Birds of Tokyo and Karnivool show, frontman Ian Kenny wasn’t in attendance – instead touring the UK with Birds Of Tokyo to appear at The Great Escape and host their own sell-out gigs @ Barfly.
