Nowadays, and since a few decades ago, hair has played a key role in our look. Hairstyle defines our tastes, our personality and can even make us fit in an urban tribe. No wonder then that, for many people, starting to lose hair can mean a big problem.
Of course, a bald person doesn’t equal an unattractive person, but not everyone is ready to adopt that look. Fortunately, since a few years ago there is a solution: the hair transplant. Now it’s possible to take hairs from places of the head where they are still abundant and replace them in the parts in which hair is scarce.
In this article, we are revising the facts of hair transplant and we’ll talk about the leader in hair transplant in Europe: Capilclinic.
What happens during a hair transplant?
Usually, what doctors do is taking hair from the nape to put it in the top of the head, but of course, this depends on each patient. This is possible because the hair follicle has stem cells, that have the ability to regenerate the complex structures that form a hair. The reason why some people go bald is that stem cells die or stop proliferating. Thus, hair looks more weak and thin, and also when hairs fall no new ones take their place.
During a hair transplant, the patient undergoes local anesthesia. The doctor, after all the analysis, will choose the hair grafts from the patient, will count and organize them and finally, will make tiny incisions in the head of the patient to insert the grafts into it. The duration of the process depends on each patient but usually, it takes between 5 and 7 hours.
After the transplantation process, the incisions have to close to let the grafts get used to their new habitat. During the first 3 days, special care has to be taken in order to avoid the lesions to bleed or swell. The next 10 days, the patient will need extra hygiene, but soon after the incisions will completely close and the patient will be able to get back to their normal life.
Where to have a hair transplant?
If you want to undergo a hair transplant, it is extremely important that you choose a quality clinic, with certified professionals (medical doctors) that can accompany you through all the process, study specifically your case and help you in the postoperative. If the clinic is chosen properly, the risk is almost nonexistent.
One of the pioneer clinics in Europe is Capilclinic, with more than 10 years of experience and hiring only the best professionals. This is led by Dr. Etoz, leader of hair transplant in Turkey. In fact, this country is one of the best destines when going for a hair transplant, because there’s a growing industry there, with very complete packages (holiday + transplant!) and experienced professionals that will guide you through all the process.
Also, Capilclinic is the only clinic that offers a complete stem cell pack. This means the use of the most complex regenerative medicine: stem cells are taken from other parts of the patient’s body and implanted into the head, to increase the number of regenerative cells in the skin, that will give rise to new hair.
Remember, for your hair choose only the best!
