Whether you want to sip cocktails on a Mediterranean beach, lose yourself in the cobbled streets of a historic old town, or breathe in fresh alpine air, there’s a European destination to suit every type of traveller.
On top of all of that, Europe is perfect for families, couples and solo breakaways, due to a lot of the places catering for all and being very safe – especially important if you are going away on your own. The question you have to ask yourself is where you would like to go in Europe. Do you want to try something new, like a walking holiday in Europe? Or would you prefer to book a beach break and relax in a nice hotel in Majorca? There are so many possibilities.
To help you narrow it down, we have put together a brief guide on where in Europe you should go for your next breakaway.
Italy – Walking Holiday
We touched on it above, but a walking holiday in Europe is something a lot of people are booking at the moment, thanks to the unique experience it brings. It’s a chance to slow down, immerse yourself in stunning scenery, and discover places you’d never see from the window of a car or coach. One country in particular that has some impressive hiking routes is Italy. You can explore the Amalfi coast, walk in Portofino and Cinque Terre, hike in Sardinia or explore Sicily – you are spoilt for choice!
Majorca – Alcudia
If your idea of a holiday is stretching out on golden sands with the sound of the sea in the background, Majorca should be high on your list. From the old cobbled street of Palma to the stunning landscapes, it’s an island that blends relaxation with adventure. You can spend your mornings exploring local markets, afternoons lounging by turquoise waters, and evenings enjoying tapas in charming town squares. It’s fairly affordable and very easy to get to. When the weather is nice, it’s the perfect destination!
Netherlands – Amsterdam
Something different to the above options, which we still think you would enjoy a lot, is a visit to Amsterdam. The city has a unique charm with its canals, cycle-friendly streets, and beautiful architecture. What we love a lot about Amsterdam is that it feels extremely safe, which is something we value highly when going away. You can spend your days exploring museums, eating in nice restaurants, as well as having a coffee in some of their beautiful cafes.
Have you been on holiday in Europe before, and where in Europe do you think you will go away to next year? Have you been to Majorca, Italy or Amsterdam before? And if so, what did you love about it when you visited? Let us know in the comment box below. We look forward to hearing from you.
