Will Smith overshadowed his entire night at the Oscars after he slapped Chris Rock on stage for making a joke about his wife’s hair.

Actor Will Smith shares video after months of silence

Since then, the Smiths have not shared any specific details about the event. So far, they have only really given vague interpretations of what took place.

The actor relayed that what took place on Oscars night should never have happened and that it was not the way to handle things.

“There is no part of me that thinks that was the right way to behave in that moment,”

Right now, Will Smith took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the matter. After taking a social media hiatus following the criticism he got for his controversial act at the Oscars.

Recently, Will Smith shared a five-minute video of himself reading questions from people who wanted answers about what happened on the Oscars night.

So far, the actor shared that he reached out to Chris. However, the comedian shared that “he will reach out when he is ready”.

Bad Boys actor apologizes to the Rock family

Now, Will Smith made sure to apologize to Chris Rock in his video before making reference to Tony Rock and the comedians’ mother. Previously, Rock’s mother expressed that Will really “slapped [her] when he slapped [her] son”.

The actor shared that he had a great relationship with Tony Rock before the incident. However, things have since changed for the two public figures.

“This is probably irreparable,”

When reading a question regarding whether Jada was responsible for the way he reacted, the actor said that she did not. The actor was also asked why he didn’t mention Rock in his acceptance speech.

“Um I was fogged out by then. It’s all fuzzy.”

Earlier this year, Vivica A. Fox shared that Jada Pinkett Smith took no “accountability” for her actions in a video she previously shared about the Oscars slap.

The actress shared that Jada was too “self-righteous” when she expressed that she hopes the two men will reconcile and heal.

In the video, Will Smith also apologized to his wife and his family for his actions, assuring his fans that his actions that night was a reflection of previous experiences between him and Chris Rock and a variety of other things.
