Jen Shah: Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star faces 30 years in prison

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah has pleaded guilty after months of professing her innocence in a fraud case.

Jen Shah vowed to her Real Housewives cast that she will prove her innocence and represent those that cannot raise their voices. Now, the reality star has pleaded guilty to committing fraud. 

Reality star Jen Shah faces a possible 30 years in prison

Previously, Jen Shah was visibly infuriated with her Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast of it was found that she had committed fraud. Since then, the reality star has continued to declare her innocence to the public. 

Following a trial that was set to take on the 18th of July, Jen Shah has decided to plead guilty to one count of fraud. Which is scamming older and vulnerable individuals from their savings. 

Thus far, in a year-long scam, Jen Shah and others intentionally scammed individuals that were 55 years and older by selling false services to them through telemarketing. The tv star now faces up to 10 to 14 years in prison. 

Real Housewives star pleads guilty to one count of fraud

Before pleading guilty to one count of fraud, Jen Shah faced the possibility of 50 years in prison. Now that she has changed her plea, the New York judge explained that she could face up to a maximum of 30 years in prison and five years supervised release.

Last year, the reality star was arrested while filming an episode of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. And has been adamant that she is innocent and would prove that she is. 

“I will fight because No. 1, I’m innocent and No. 2, I’m going to f – king represent every other person out there that can’t fight and hasn’t been able to”

According to News.com, Jen Shah has apologized in court for the victims involved in the fraud case. It is understood that Jen personally ran the sales group and made sure that she couldn’t be traced through the use of different apps. 

 “We used interstate telephones and emails. I knew many of the purchasers were over the age of 55. I am so sorry,”
