Elizabeth Struhs died on January 7th at her family home in Toowoomba. Police reveal that her family withheld life-saving medication for the eight-year-old suffering with diabetes.

Thus far, 12 family members of Elizabeth Struhs have been arrested. According to ABC News, all of the family members are aged between 19 and 60.
To date, police argued that the family of Elizabeth Struhs has intentionally withheld life-saving medication from their family member and refused to seek medical attention when she needed it most.
As shared by The Guardian, the Struhs family is a close-knit religious family who identifies themselves as The Saints. Thus far, the family denied giving the girl medication for six days.

Right now, both parents are currently in custody. This comes as they deprived Elizabeth of her medication to keep her alive. The pair has currently decided to represent themselves in court.
To date, the family refused medication since they believe God heals. Therefore, they refused to give the young girl medication as this would clash with their beliefs.
According to the sister of the little girl, The Saints are a close-knit group who are extreme controllers. Right now, the older sister has left her family. This comes as she realized she is a lesbian.

As shared by Jayde, her sexuality evidently clashed with the family’s values and this motivated her decision to leave. Thus far, the older sister of Elizabeth is currently taking care of her younger siblings.
So far, Jayde Struhs has set up a GoFundMe page in aid of raising her younger siblings. As for her family, they will appear in court again later this month.
