Bridgerton season two: What you need to know before watching

Bridgerton season two couldn’t come any quicker as season one first premiered in 2020. Nearly two years after the release of the first season, fans are able to get their courtship on again!

While season one of Bridgerton focussed on Daphne Bridgerton and her romance. Season two will follow her older brother’s love story and his journey to finding love.

Like the Julia Quinn novels, each season will focus on a different character, and season two of Bridgerton is set to have all eyes on Anthony Bridgerton.

Bridgerton spoiler alert!

If you haven’t watched Bridgerton season one, you might find it difficult to keep up and fail to understand the big moments for the characters, specifically Lord Anthony Bridgerton.

Previously, viewers have seen Anthony make his way in and out of brothels and eventually fall in love with one of the women he has had regular relations with.

Let’s not forget Penelope Featherington! Our very own Lady Whistledonw revealed.

Anthony’s love story

So, his love story will continue to move on from there. If you’re planning on catching up with season one, prepare to see some steamy sex scenes as the characters do not hold back on their desire.

The burning question here is, will Anthony Bridgerton burn for his new love in the Daphne and her husband did? Well, it is only a matter of time to see whether he will commit to one woman and not bring shame upon his family.

This time around, Bridgerton has far less steamy sex scenes but believe me when I say that they are still there. In 2020, nearly 82 million households tuned in to watch Bridgerton so it’s safe to see that many enjoy looking at what life will look like in other historical eras.

Producer Shonda Rhimes has also made a great effort to bring in a good deal of diversity in the series as to identify with the large group that actually watches the series.

“The idea that we don’t create worlds that look like the world that we live in and that we create false societies where everybody looks a certain kind of way or is a certain kind of color or whatever, feels disingenuous to me.”

Shonda Rhimes

To Shonda, diversity on the screen is very important as there is not only one kind of person in the world as relayed by ABC News.
